Unique Moments Photography from Gig Harbor Washington was truly honored to be part of this awesome Memorial Day weekend wedding at the Novelty Hill Winery in Woodinville Wa. This was truly a special wedding. We knew as soon as we spoke with Ashley that this wedding was going to be off the charts and very special. The groom was a member of our armed forces and he was on active duty protecting our great nation. He was coming home in May 2106 to get married. Family members were flying in from all over the country to witness and be at the wedding.
As were heard more of the details and plans we also found out that our bride is and exceptional athlete as well. She is an olympian for the USA. So of course we did everything we could think of to convince ashley that we were the right fit for the wedding. Yippie, she choose Unique Moments Photography to cover the event and we have been on pins and needles waiting for the wedding to get here.
About two weeks before the wedding, we got a call from Ashley who told us that there was a change in plans for the formal pictures. The original location cancelled on her at the last minute and ashley was not sure where we could capture the family formals. So we said, No Problem. Excuse #197 to jump on the Honda Goldwing and go for a ride and see what we could dig up. We love excuses to go for a ride.
The Novelty Hill Winery is simply a wonderful venue and its full of great photo opportunities for wedding party’s and family formals. But Ashley wanted to have something a little different so all the photos were not captured at the same locations. As we were riding around, we saw the Chateau Ste Michelle winery. The winery is simple stunning. We went inside and introduced ourselves to the manager and told her of the plight for this military family and asked if we could possibly photograph the formals at the front of the venue. She handed me her business cards and told me, we do everything we can to help members of our military. Absolutly you can come in and capture the images. We got the green light and as the say in the movies, The rest is history.
Ashley and Brian did this Old School. No First looks. Brain wanted to wait and see her for the first time as she was waking down the Isle. That turned out to be the best way to go for this couple. The wedding day was perfect, the ceremony was lovely, the families were awesome, and the bridal party was a total blast to be with. Everything about this wedding was perfect. The novelty Hill venue is beautiful, the staff was super friendly and the food was phenominal. We really wish we could have enjoyed a glass or two of the custom wines but we cant let our clients have fuzzy pictures can we. We never drink alcohol at weddings.
We must add that it is a true honor to serve those who protect our nation and provide the freedoms that we enjoy in this country. This group of military members was as good as it gets. This wedding was nothing short of Spectacular. Special Thanks to the Chateau Ste Michelle Winery for allowing those that protect and serve this great nation access to their facility at the last minute. This meant the world to these families who flew into our state to witness this wedding.
Congratulations Ashley and Brian and the Peterson and Jackson Families. What a great day indeed.
